Position Technical Sales Specialist
Location Hitchin
Description

Reporting to WPI's sales office in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, responsibilities would include providing technical support on our product range, carrying out product demonstrations and installations, participating at various commercial exhibitions and carrying out site visits.

The successful candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, creative, well organised and able to work to deadlines. The ideal candidate should hold a first degree in a biological or life science subject, with perhaps some experience of postgraduate research. Some commercial experience would be advantageous.

WPI offer a competitive salary with a bonus and pension scheme, car, private healthcare, and childcare scheme. Full training would be provided at our Florida headquarters.

Position Digital Marketing and Social Media Apprentice
Location Hitchin
Description

Can you help us with our social media and digital marketing? Excellent opportunity working for a well-established scientific supplies business.

Duties include:

  1. Define key performance indicators (kpi’s) for areas of involvement (number of validated contacts captured, visitors, followers, likes, etc.), to enable campaigns’ effectiveness to be assessed
  2. Schedule to create and distribute material to enhance our online presence for website, email and social media platforms on topical campaigns
  3. Track and monitor campaigns, and provide feedback for future topic suggestions from internal and external sources
  4. Liaise with sales staff to identify any potential social media campaign opportunities
  5. Create Google AdWords campaigns for specific sales activities, track and monitor ROI
  6. Invigorate our online presence within current branding guidelines
  7. Take part in exhibitions when appropriate
  8. Use your initiate and creativity where necessary!

Requirements

Qualifications

Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

Experience with Social Media platforms, Microsoft packages and any Adobe packages (Photoshop) would be useful. Blogging skills and experience would be desired. English skills a must.

Personal Qualities

Creative and artistic. Motivated, positive and able to use own initiative.
