 DAM Series

A family of very low noise battery operated amplifiers. Micro-powered circuitry allows more than 500 hours of continuous operation from the battery power supply. Because of their small size, these instruments can be brought very close to the recording site or rack mounted two at a time using the optional Rack Mount Kit (#3484). They can also be mounted individually using the optional Ring stand Mounting Kit (#3485).

DAM50 - Basic Amplifier (optional #5447 electrode adapter not include)

DAM60 - Basic feature plus Current Generator

DAM50 and DAM60 offer AC/DC amplification, high and low bandwidth filtering with the same low-noise "front-end" design, for extracellular recording, EMG, EKG, etc. In addition, DAM 60 includes a linear electrode current generator for tissue marking and electrode impedance measurement. Both preamplifiers come equipped with two unserviced modular cables designed to be wired to the user's input device. An optional Electrode Adapter (#5447) accommodates input devices with 2 mm plugs. When very low noise is required, the input cables can be replaced with optional shielded cables (#3517). DAM60 also comes equipped with two cables which are male plug to BNC and can be used to connect the output to a recording device.

DAM70 - Basic plus Current Generator
with Gated Stimulus Artifact Suppression (SAS)

DAM80 - With low-noise headstage DAM80P
(Metal microelectrode adapter #5469 included.)

DAM 70 offers AC/DC amplification, high and low bandwidth filtering with the same low-noise "front-end" design, for extracellular recording, EMG, EKG, etc. It also includes a linear electrode current generator for tissue marking and electrode impedance measurement and features gated stimulus artefact suppression. Optional microelectrode holder MEH8 and cable #3517 are required for this feature. DAM70 comes equipped with two unserviced modular cables designed to be wired to the user's input device. An optional Electrode Adapter (#5447) accommodates input devices with 2 mm plugs. DAM70 also comes equipped with three male plug to BNC cables used to connect the output to a recording device. DAM80, an AC amplifier only, features a very low noise headstage probe which can be mounted in micromanipulators for up-close cortical recording, for extracellular recording from high impedance glass or metal microelectrodes. Also provides a gated current for tissue marking. Microelectrode holder MEH3SB is recommended.
