This
economical hand-held instrument provides isolated,
calibrated DC voltage and a square wave with precise
variable amplitude
|

|
An LCD display shows output voltage
amplitude from below 1 mV to over 10 volts. Battery
operated, Omnical can run free or can be triggered or
gated externally by TTL level signals applied to an
internal photon coupler, maintaining the instrument's
intrinsic isolation from ground. Omnical's square waves,
with very fast rising and falling edges and reversible
polarity, can be used for command or instrument
calibration. Two nine-volt alkaline batteries power this
laboratory voltage calibrator for several hundred hours,
depending on load current.
