WPI carries seven different sizes; the weight range is from neonate rats and adult mice up to 1,000 gram rats. Only a mild soap and water solution is to be used to clean the restrainers no ammonia based products should be used.

WPI animal restrainers are used with the non-invasive blood pressure systems for mice and rats; they can also be used for tail vein injections or other studies where the animal needs to be restrained.

They are constructed of sturdy clear, 1/4” wall acrylic. They have an adjustable head gate and the end plate is removable by snaps. This allows the animal to “walk-in” as opposed to the traditional method of bootstrap holders where the animal is physically forced into the restrainer backwards. The backward forcing of animals causes severe trauma.
