Position Area Sales Manager (m/w)
Location Süd-Deutschland, Schweiz, Österreich
Description

Sie arbeiten vom Büro in Friedberg (Hessen) oder von zu Hause aus (bevorzugter Ort Baden-Württemberg oder Bayern). Die Stelle spielt eine zentrale Rolle bei der Beratung von Kunden bei der Produktauswahl, Anwendungsunterstützung, Schulung und technischem Support in Süddeutschland, der Schweiz (DE, IT) und Österreich. Die Reisetätigkeit umfasst mindestens 60% der Arbeitszeit.

Wesentliche Aufgaben:

  • Betreuung unserer nationalen und internationalen Kunden / Pre- und Post-Sales-Support für das beschriebene Verkaufsgebiet
  • Erstellen von Angeboten und dokumentieren aller Aktivitäten im CRM System
  • Technische Beratung der Kunden / technische Gespräche mit Kunden führen
  • Produktdemonstrationen bei Kunden durchführen, um neue Geschäftsmöglichkeiten zu entwickeln und Verkäufe abzuschließen.
  • Erfolgreiche Umsetzung der strategischen Entwicklungsziele
  • Präsentation der Firma mit Messestand bei Industrieausstellungen im Rahmen von Fachkonferenzen
  • Selbstständiges Organisieren der Kundenakquise und damit verbundener Aktivitäten um die vereinbarten Verkaufsziele zu erreichen.

Ihr Profil:

  • 1-2 Jahre Erfahrung im Verkauf von Geräten und Verbrauchsgütern.
  • Fähigkeit, selbständig zu arbeiten mit einer nachgewiesenen Erfolgsbilanz eines erfolgreichen Gebietsmanagements.
  • Ausgezeichnete administrative Fähigkeiten und Erfahrung in der Nutzung und Pflege eines CRM-Systems.
  • Exzellente Kommunikation sowie kunden- und vertriebsorientiertes Denken
  • Erfahrung mit der Arbeit in einer zielorientierten Position.
  • Hervorragende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
  • Führerschein Klasse B

Reisetätigkeit:

Mindestens 60% der Arbeitszeit innerhalb des Verkaufsgebiets

Erforderliche Ausbildung:

Abgeschlossenes Studium (Promotion vorteilhaft aber nicht vorausgesetzt) in Zell- oder Molekularbiologie, Biochemie, Neurowissenschaften und / oder Biophysik (oder verwandter Naturwissenschaften), gerne auch erfahrene Labortechniker mit Außendiensterfahrung.

Location South Germany- Switzerland – Austria
Description

Summary/Objective:

WPI develops the laboratory tools for breakthrough biological science used across the world. Working from the offices in Friedberg or remotely from home, this position will take a central role in supporting customers with product selection, application support, training and troubleshooting in Southern Germany, Switzerland (German) and Austria.

The role will have joint sales and support activities and the successful candidate will establish strong working relationships with clients and potential customers involving technical discussions, data analysis, presentations and written communication. Whilst this position will be office or home-office based, it will require at least 60% travel within the territory (preferred location Baden Wurttemberg or Bavaria).

Essential Functions (The successful candidate will have full and varied responsibilities which will include, but are not limited to):

  • Pre and post-sales support for territory
  • Produce quotations and log all activity in CRM.
  • Provide technical assistance/hold technical discussions with customers and clients
  • Conduct customer presentations/product demonstrations to develop new commercial opportunities and close sales.
  • Attend conferences with trade stand.
  • Work autonomously to manage activities and achieve sales targets.

Additional Responsibilities:

Other Duties as assigned.

Preferred Competencies:

  • 1-2 years of experience selling capital equipment and consumables.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a proven track record of successful territory management.
  • Excellent administrative skills with experience in using and maintaining a CRM system.
  • Familiarity with working in a target driven role.
  • Fluent in German and English

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel:

Minimum of 60% within territory

 Required Education:

Minimum of BSc (higher degree of PhD advantageous but not essential) in cell or molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, and/ or biophysics (or related).

Role and Responsibilities

This newly created vacancy is an exciting proposition that will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of our highly innovative Life Science Instrumentation organisation. Working remotely from home within commuting distance from Paris, this position will take a central role in supporting customers with product selection, application support, training and troubleshooting.

The role will have joint sales and support activities and the successful candidate will establish strong working relationships with clients and potential customers involving technical discussions, data analysis, presentations and written communication. Whilst this position will be home office based, it will include 50% travel within Europe to demonstrate our cutting-edge instrumentation to world leading researchers.

The successful candidate will have full and varied responsibilities which will include (but are not limited to):

  • Technical discussions with customers & clients;
  • Product demos and develop commercial opportunities through collaborative working to close sales;

  • Fluent in English and French with strong communication skills
