The OT-1 oral temperature probe for research animals is re-useable and has a fast response time.
• Fast reading oral use, with accuracy to 0.1°C .
• Smooth ball tip. Stainless steel shaft - 3'' long, .050'' diameter. Tip diameter 1/8'', 5 foot lead length. Time constant 0.8 seconds.
Time Constant is defined as the time required to reach 63% of final temperature in liquid. An accurate reading is obtained when the reading stops changing, typically 5-10 time constants.
Maximum Temperature refers to intermittent use of probe. When probe is used for continuous measurements, maximum temperature should be reduced by 25% unless specified.
The OT-1 probe is designed for preclinical temperature measurement in research animals. Intended use: Preclinical, Animal research application. Use is restricted to Animal Research Only. Not designed for humans or veterinary clinical practice applications.
