The special diamond coated blades will increase the longevity of the cutting edge and improve the qulaity of the cut. Used to reduce wear on razor blades and industrial metal cutting tools, this coating is now being used in biomedical applications. Some studies have shown that even after double the normal usage of the cutting implement, no blade wear was detected.
